YANGHEE CHANG
In these works, I wanted to depict
the diversity of nature’s colours and forms through trees of different tones
and shapes. One features a tree with sharp, pointed leaves in an unexpected
mint hue, while another captures the warmth of a tree filled with yellow tones
— both chosen for their distinct visual energy and emotional resonance.
The backgrounds are rendered as
flat colour fields rather than realistic settings, intentionally avoiding any
sense of a specific time or place.
Through this approach, I sought to
evoke a timeless atmosphere, allowing the forms and colours themselves to speak
beyond the boundaries of season or moment.
