YANGHEE CHANG
Seoul-based artist Yanghee Chang presents a striking body of work that explores the fundamental emotions of human existence—anxiety, emptiness, and solitude—through the language of the human figure.
Her unique practice combines traditional painting and printmaking with innovative techniques such as laser engraving and layered transparency, creating works that move seamlessly between surface and depth. The result is a visual language that is both contemporary and timeless, offering collectors works with rare technical originality and conceptual depth.
Chang’s figures, often blurred or dismantled, embody the traces of human relationships and the fragility of existence. Rather than portraying these emotions as negative, she reframes them as universal states of being—making her work resonate across cultures and contexts.
With academic grounding from Seoul National University and an expanding exhibition record in Korea, Chang represents a new generation of Korean contemporary artists now reaching international audiences.
